This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL_NAME] ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the PT-TAKEOFF service at www.pttakeoff.com (the "Service"). We are the data controller for the information described here.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and authentication details, used to create and secure your account. Sign-in is via email magic link or Google sign-in.
- Drawings and files you upload ("Customer Content") — the PT drawings you submit and the takeoff outputs we generate for you. These are stored in private, per-account storage.
- Usage and billing metadata — records of takeoffs run, plan and credit balances, and timestamps, used to operate the Service and enforce plan limits.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. We do not receive or store your full card details; we receive limited transaction data (such as country, plan, and status) needed to provision your account.
- Technical logs — standard server logs (e.g., IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- To provide the Service — storing your drawings and generating your takeoff workbook and PDF extract.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To meter usage, apply plan limits, and manage billing through Paddle.
- To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and service notices.
- To maintain, debug, and improve the Service and to prevent abuse.
Processing of your drawings by AI
To transcribe the tendon register from your drawings, relevant content is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, via its API, strictly to perform that transcription for your takeoff. Quantities themselves are computed by our own deterministic software, not by the AI. Content processed through the Anthropic API is not used to train models. We do not sell your Customer Content and do not use it to train any model.
Service providers (sub-processors)
We rely on the following providers to run the Service. They process information only as needed to provide their function to us:

Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Customer Content is retained so you can access your takeoffs, and is deleted when you delete it or within a reasonable period after account closure. You may request deletion of your Customer Content at any time (see below). We may retain limited billing and log records where required for legal, tax, or security purposes.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are relied upon by those providers.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@pttakeoff.com from your account address. You may also close your account at any time.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and private per-account storage to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
Cookies
We use only cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in and keep the Service working (for example, your authentication session). We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
The Service is intended for professional use and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
